Ripple glass pendant with dichroic and frit accents #1
This pendant is cut from a sheet of black ripple glass, then overlaid with transparent and opaque frit and a few pieces of dichroic stringer (very thin rods of glass with a dichroic coating on them) and then capped with clear glass.

Ripple glass pendant with dichroic and frit accents #2
This pendant is cut from a sheet of black ripple glass, then overlaid with transparent and opaque frit and a few pieces of dichroic stringer (very thin rods of glass with a dichroic coating on them) and then capped with clear glass. The clear glass capping on this pendant had an opalescent sheen, which makes it very hard to photograph and interferes with seeing the glass elements inside. Leave comments to let me know whether you like the effect or not.

Teardrop pendants 1
This is a thumbnail photo of 4 different teardrop shaped pendants made in a mosaic style. Click on the photo to see the full sized image of all four. Each of these are made in a teardrop shaped mold with a bed of black frit on the bottom, a layer of dichroic shards over that and a layer of clear frit on top. The bubbles are a side effect of working with layers of frit.

Bird pendant before fusing
On this piece, I used a piece of opaque blue and dark green transparent glass for the bottom layer. On top of that, I added the bird in copper and brass (for the wing) mesh fabric. I also put two pieces of millefiore flowers over the green for added texture and interest. I’m using the bolt and nut and the clear capping to create a large bail for the piece.
-
Star pendant before fusing
On the bottom I’ve layered triangular pieces of dark blue and green glass with a piece of rippled opalescent black glass. Over that, I’ve added a piece of copper mesh die cut into a star shape and a piece of dichroic glass. The capping layer is some clear glass. Again, I’m using the bolt and nut to create a bail for the piece.

Swirly sun before fusing, top layer
Capping layers of dichroic and clear on top of the colored glass and copper screen sun. I’ve also laid 2 pieces of clear glass over the bolt and nuts to help form the bail for the pendant.

Swirly sun before fusing, bottom layer
I first laid out triangles of opalescent black, streaky orange and yellow, and opaque red glass and filled in a few spots with coarse yellow frit. On top of that layer, I added a piece of copper mesh screen die cut into a swirl sun and some additional pieces of coarse yellow frit. The bolt and nuts will form the bail for the pendant after it is fired.

Bird pendant after fusing
These are the after photos of the pendants I recently uploaded. This pendant is the one with the brass and copper bird shape. The nuts and bolt will be the bail for the pendant. I'd love some feedback on what you think of it.
